For Week One of Schopenhauer

  • Skip prefaces and Introductions
  • Book I: Skip entire book
  • Book II: Read entire book, i.e., sections 17-29 inclusive (70 pp)
  • You should probably also get a bit of a start on the readings for week two, since there are only 70pp of reading for this first week, and 92pp for the second week

For Week Two of Schopenhauer

  • Book III: Read sections 30-40 inclusive (40 pp)
  • Book IV: Read sections 57, 58, 59, 60, 65, 68 & 71. (52 pp)

 

Total pages to read in Schopenhauer: 162, many of them rather challenging
